How Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus Works

Cavities begin to develop below the enamel, or the outermost layer of the tooth crown, and early decay or cavities may be visible on the surface. If left untreated, the cavities continue to decay through the enamel and into the dentin, an inner layer of the tooth that supports the enamel and protects the pulp, where it will start to cause pain. Deep cavities require drilling and filling to correct.

However, if caught early, surface lesions can be highly treatable with Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus. Here’s how.

Once an early carious lesion (an area of decay that could potentially turn into a cavity) is identified, Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus is applied directly onto the cleaned surface of the treatment area and allowed to dry for five minutes. This one five-minute application is all that is needed to activate the Curodont process.

Over the course of the next few weeks, Curodont’s unique CUROLUX® formulation penetrates deep into the surface of the enamel and leverages a proprietary self-assembling peptide to recruit  the minerals like calcium and phosphate found in saliva that are necessary for new hydroxyapatite crystal growth, remineralizing, re-hardening, and strengthening the tooth.
